Hi, I'm Sarah Borrell

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

As a therapist, I get to witness people become healthier, more empowered, and transform their lives. What greater honor is there? The most rewarding part of my work is seeing clients feel capable where they once felt stuck, hopeful where they once felt lost, and kinder to themselves along the way. Healing is an ongoing journey, and learning to relate to yourself with both compassion and accountability is what makes lasting change possible.

I am committed to empowering you to make these big changes.

Connection Curious

I became a therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by relationships—what makes them thrive, what causes them to break down, and how people find healing after hardship.

I’m constantly learning about relating. And honestly, I would still read the same books and listen to the same podcasts if I weren’t a therapist. Because like everyone else, I’m an imperfect person doing the best I can. I see myself as a fellow traveler with my clients, practicing the same skills I teach every day.

Living relationally has changed my own life, and it’s why I’m passionate about helping others discover the same transformation.

Relationships are the key to a meaningful life.

MY THERAPY PHILOSOPHY

I believe relationships are what makes life worth living—but most of us were never taught how to do them well. My approach blends compassion with honesty, giving you the tools to get unstuck and practice new ways of connecting.

  • We celebrate our worth by setting healthy boundaries and practicing self-compassion— essential skills we can all learn.

  • Dysfunctional behaviors may have helped us survive past situations, but we can choose better ways of responding.

  • Like brushing your teeth, meditating, or exercise, relational health isn’t something you have, it is something you actively do.

  • A strong foundation in building healthy relationships leads to better, faster change in all aspects of life.

  • Our sessions are focused entirely on you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to finding your way.

  • The only way to truly transform our relationships is by doing the inner work first.

My Approach

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a groundbreaking approach developed by therapist and author Terry Real. Instead of spending months circling the surface, RLT gets right to the heart of what keeps you stuck. Together, we'll:

1. IDENTIFY THE NEGATIVE CYCLES

You fall into and learn to name them clearly

2. UNDERSTAND AND HEAL THE ROOT CAUSES

that fuel those cycles (such as family-of-origin wounds and patterns)

3. PRACTICE NEW SKILLS

for healthy communication, boundaries, and connection that you can carry forward for life.

RLT is the backbone of The Relationship Bootcamp. In just a matter of days, we can use these techniques to shift old reactions and build practices that make our relationships feel secure, supportive, and alive again. As one of only 100 therapists worldwide who offer The Relationship Bootcamp, I’m honored to be able to share RLT and this approach with you.
